Find More Fulfilling Work in an Environment that Matches Your Personality
Most recruiters just want to know that your resume matches the position they are hiring for, and that you won’t embarrass them if they introduce you to their client. At the Blakesley group, we want you to love your new job, and stay with our client company for a long time. Résumés and interviews are helpful, but aren’t good enough for us. If we think you’re a match for one of our open positions we’ll take you through several interviews and a few tests to find out if you’re a good fit for the job. Broadly speaking, we measure 3 dimensions:
Behaviors reveal how you will perform, including what value you will bring to a team and your ideal environment.
Motivators are the lenses through which you view the world. Motivators reveal why you act a certain way — what spurs you on to perform a job.
Competencies measure the soft skills that indicate your potential for superior performance for the specific position you are being placed.
Every job requires a different blend of these 3 factors in order to be performed well. When you take a job without a deep understanding of how well you fit, and only think about your industry experience, job fit tends to be poor. You’ll probably become unsatisfied after the honeymoon period, and end up leaving within 2 years.
Because we look at job fit scientifically, over the last 5 years 92% of our candidates are still happily employed and doing great work for the companies that hired them with our recommendation.
